Pipeline Items
A pipeline item is created whenever a contact is added to a pipeline. It tracks the contact's position, deal value, assignment, and notes within that specific pipeline.
Item fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Contact | The person this item represents. Links to the contact detail page. |
| Stage | The current stage within the pipeline. |
| Value | The monetary value of this deal. Used for pipeline total calculations. |
| Assigned user | The team member responsible for this deal. |
| Notes | Free-text notes about the deal status, next steps, or context. |
Editing a pipeline item
Click on a card on the Kanban board to open the edit panel. Here you can update:
- The deal value (enter a number to set or update).
- The assigned team member (select from a dropdown of workspace users).
- Notes (add context about the deal).
Moving items between stages
There are two ways to change an item's stage:
- Drag and drop — On the Kanban board, drag the card to a new column.
- Edit panel — Open the item and change the stage from a dropdown.
When an item moves to a new stage, any stage automations for the destination stage will trigger.
Value and forecasting
Setting deal values on pipeline items lets you see:
- Per-stage totals — The sum of all deal values in each column of the Kanban board.
- Pipeline total — The overall value of all items in the pipeline, shown at the top of the board.
This gives you a quick revenue forecast based on your current pipeline.
