CSV Import
The CSV Import feature lets you bring in hundreds or thousands of contacts at once from a spreadsheet. This is especially useful when migrating from another CRM or importing a lead list from an event.
How to import contacts

Prepare your CSV file
Create a CSV file with columns for the data you want to import. At minimum, include a "Name" or "First Name" column. Common columns include email, phone, company, and role.

Open the CSV Upload modal
From the Contacts page, click the "CSV Import" button (or the upload icon). This opens the import modal.

Upload your file
Drag and drop your CSV file or click to browse. Booked55 will parse the file and show a preview of the first few rows.

Map columns to fields
The import tool will attempt to auto-match your CSV column headers to Booked55 fields. Review the mapping and adjust any columns that were not matched correctly.

Confirm and import
Click "Import" to start the process. You will see a progress indicator. Once complete, the new contacts appear in your contacts list.
Expected file format
Your CSV file should be a standard comma-separated values file with a header row. Example:

Tips for a clean import
- Use UTF-8 encoding — Ensure your CSV is saved as UTF-8 to handle special characters.
- Remove empty rows — Blank rows at the end of your file may cause import errors.
- Consistent formatting — Capitalize names consistently and use a standard phone format.
- Test with a small file first — Import 5-10 rows to verify your column mapping before importing the full list.
After importing
Once your contacts are imported, you can:
- Assign them to a pipeline using Pipeline Assignment.
- Link them to an event if they came from a conference lead list.
- Launch an email campaign to introduce yourself to the new contacts.
